Default CLASS: Tech Diver Boot Camp, April 2-10, 2011

    Tech Diver's Boot Camp 2011

We are excited to be offering this years Boot Camp at a historically significant site. Warm Mineral Springs has yielded many fossils including Paleo Indian remains dated at 10,000 yrs old. This inland spring site has 75 m/250 ft of depth with 87 F/ 31 C water temps and averages 50 to 70 feet of vis. It has been closed to divers for decades but the TBC group of 2011 will be among the first to dive it when it re-opens. Imagine deep water spring diving without a dry suit.

If you are the diver who wants to honestly say he has been there and done that, the diver with the skills, the grit, the determination to do what it takes to go to 200 feet or beyond and safely return, you may have the courage to enter the ranks of tech diving. This is real tech diving - not the kind done from a bar stool or keyboard. This program has achieved a great deal of notoriety since we initially launched it as a regular event in 2001. It has been covered in Skin Diver Magazine, SCUBA Diving Magazine, on Seaduction.com and SCUBADiving.com additionally the programs was filmed for footage to be used in documentaries by Valeo Films (Quest for Sunken Warships) in 2007.

If you are an Advanced Open Water Diver (see full pre-requisites) with what it takes to venture beyond the mundane and complete training in Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, Extended Range Diving and if successful earn certification as a TechXR Normoxic Trimix Diver, this is your program. But beware, the program is intense, the requirements unforgiving, and the instructors will drive you to seek perfection in every skill – that’s why we call it boot camp. However, in spite of the challenges or perhaps because of them it will be of the most fun learning experiences you can have in diving!

WHY TECH DIVE? BECAUSE GOLF & BASEBALL ONLY REQUIRE ONE BALL!

Our curriculum will meet or exceed the minimum prescribed standards of The Sub-Aquatic Survivor Projects of SEAduction® Dive Services, Inc., and exceed all U.S. based training agency standards for technical certification. Certifications will be issued through the Tech XR Division of Scuba Schools International.
